Thank you very much. Thank you, everybody. This is a very nice group, a very big group, and I am happy that I can join all of you and explain something about me, about my work, and about my mission.
When I was only six years old, people asked me, "What will you do in your life?" and I told them, "I will travel around the world and teach people to do something." Usually people would laugh. People would not understand, and neither did I understand at that moment what I would do in my life.
So my first career was as an English teacher, a professor of English. When the war in Yugoslavia started, I got divorced, and with two small children, eight and twelve years old, I moved to Spain. We lived in Spain for twenty years. Once, my son married a Peruvian girl and left for Peru, and another one was still there. He started to work for a big German company, and at one moment he said, "Mama, I want to change my life and I want to move to Bali."
So our life changed. We went together to Bali, and we left Barcelona after twenty years. There I had been running a humanitarian association, and I was working as a psychologist, because I took many psychology courses. I took coaching courses. I took a course with Brian Weiss about past lives. I did many things, and I did not understand why I was doing so many things. People would usually ask me, "But who are you? What are you? You have so many qualifications. You are running a non-governmental organization, you are a psychologist, you are in marketing, you are in so many different things." And I did not understand. I just wanted, and I felt I had to know all of this.
Then we were in Bali, and because of his visa we had to go back and forth, and we decided, "Okay, instead of going and coming back, we shall make a trip around the world." So we made the first world trip. I felt inside of me that I had to do two more. So two more I did by myself, and I started to have so many mystical experiences, so many different encounters with different people. Then I started to have conversations with ghosts and spirits, and all my past life experiences started to come to me. Also, I started to have more and more clients.
I had experience working with past lives in Barcelona, but for me it was like a hobby. It was just like, "Okay, let's do it with the French friend of a friend, let's do some emotional therapy," but never like it was my mission. And then I met a medium who found me in a cave restaurant, and she said that she had been contacted by a spirit telling her that in one month, at this place, on that day, at that hour, she would meet Meri, who is a student of Brian Weiss, and she had to tell me that it is enough of being invisible, and that I have to hurry and to meet one million souls, explaining about past lives. So it was like in a movie. I did not believe that it was happening to me. But after that encounter, it really started.
So I am on my mission to meet one million souls and to explain to them about past lives. I made three world trips. I came to India for the New Year's Eve of 2020. I am still here, and the plan is to move to Bali in the next few months. I found twenty-three of my past lives, and I have made more than two hundred and fifty past life sessions. And I am in India because of my karmic love.
So the title of today is "Karmic Bonds, Karmic Relations."
Please, can you share with us, first of all, what is karma? What is the definition of karma, and what do you mean by karmic bonds and karmic ties?
Karma is the good or bad effect of doing something. Not only doing — whatever we think, whatever we plan, whatever we do, all of this has a karmic effect. We have, like, a bank, a karmic bank account. So whatever is in our brain, in our hands, whatever results we make with any action, good or bad, goes to that bank account, and it comes back to us.
So you can have negative thoughts, and in this life, next moment, next year, or in the next life, you can get them back. And it is not punishment. Usually people say, "Oh, he will be punished by karma." No, it is not punishment. It is learning. It is a lesson. Whatever you put in the ground will come, will grow. Whatever seed you put, you will have the harvest of that. So it is not punishment. It is your lesson, and that lesson can repeat and repeat during this life or during the following lives, until we learn that lesson, and then that lesson will stop.
But if we do not learn in this life, it will be double difficult in the next life. And if we do not learn in the next life, it will again be bigger, deeper, and more difficult. So karma is just the result of our actions and our thoughts. It is the harvest of whatever we think and whatever we do. And the same is true with family. It is the same with the nation. It is the same with the whole human race and the whole planet. So whatever is going on now on this planet is also karmic, and whatever we do with these karmic results that we have now will be the seed of the new karma that we are making for the next generations on this planet.
Now, sometimes people ask me, "But that person I know has a whole life without problems." First, no person is without problems. But the person with the fewer problems can be a person that has chosen a life without karma. In Spanish we have an expression, "año sabático." It is the year when you are eighteen and you have just finished your secondary school. You want to go to the university, and then you decide, "I will not start working, I will not start studying, but I will have a sabbatical year, and for one year I will just travel around the world, or I will just have fun, or I will just do sport, or whatever." So this is a year where you do nothing, especially nothing like studying or working. You just enjoy your life, and you learn in different ways, you learn by your experience.
So sometimes a person chooses that kind of life in this life — no karmic lessons. But what is interesting is that in that life you are making and preparing new karma for the following lives, because with every action, with every reaction, we are creating karma. So in a normal life, which is not sabbatical, all the time we are solving one karma, and with our actions we are creating new karma for the following lives. I hope it is understandable. If anybody has a question, you can put it.
And usually people think that karmic relations can only be love relations. But it is not like that. A karmic relation can be a family relation — between brothers, sisters, mother, father, parents, any cousin, any part of the family. A karmic relation can be with your friend, with your teacher. A karmic relation can be just one meeting with an unknown person who came just in one moment of your life to help you, or you came to help that person, and you will never meet again. So in those four years and three world trips, I met many, many examples of all of that, through my own experience and through the experience of my clients and my friends.
And then there is another kind of karmic relation, when you do not have a karmic relation with that person — so you never met that person in a previous life — but you have a karmic lesson. Before being born in this life, we have a meeting with our soul group, and we ask. We say, "I want to learn this karmic lesson in this life. Who will help me?" So you can get help from the people that you already met in other lives, and they say — your husband from your life number three, he said, "Oh, you know, you remember that I left you in that life and you had very big feelings for me. Can we arrange that in this life, in this life you will leave me, and I will have big feelings? So maybe we learn, and we forgive each other, and we have a healthy relationship, or not. But let's try to learn that karmic lesson."
But also it can happen that you say, "You know, I have a karmic lesson to learn, how to make big money, because I am always losing money in my life." And then a soul that was never with you in another life just says, "Okay, I want to become part of your karmic souls. So I will make something so that you start to learn that lesson." So there are different roles. You can help souls that you already helped in other lives, or you can help souls with whom you never had any contact in previous lives, but they want to help you with that karmic lesson. And then we can help children and new births — new births in a family — as karmic relations.
Here in India I am working on AstroTalk, which is an astrological site, and people call and chat about many things. And about six months ago, a person called me and told me that his mom died, and that he is very unhappy that his mom died nine months ago, and it was all of a sudden, it was cancer, and he just cannot... He is still crying and crying. And I just got a feeling — it just came to me, the thought, from my spiritual guides — that his mother will be reborn again in his life, and that it will be very soon. And I did not know anything about the family. When I told him that, he said, "My God, my wife is pregnant. She is six months pregnant. Mom died nine months ago." And a few days ago he called me and said, "I have a baby, but the baby does not talk, so I do not know if it is my mom or not." And I said, "Of course the baby does not talk. But when you look at the baby, is there anything, any gesture, anything?" And he said, "It is a boy, but his eyes are the eyes of my mom." So we still cannot know, and the baby will never tell us. But it could be that the baby is really the reincarnation of his mom.
And then I hear the question, "What is bad karma? You mean when someone takes their own life?" It is not only that. Taking your life is not right, it is not good, but it is not only that. Bad karma is even if you think, "Oh my God, I hate that neighbor. He can lose this and this because he has a lot of money." Bad karma is if you treat animals badly. Bad karma is if you treat your children badly. There are many things. We usually take that word as something very big. Karma is everything — every moment of your life, every act of your life is something, and that is what karma is. So it is like, not only big money, but even small money enters in your bank account. So you make good karma even if you are unhappy, but you put your smile, and you smile at the beggar in the street and say, "Good day, good morning." Even that is making good karma.
Meri, can you explain a little bit about karmic settlements? You know, as you said, if we do not do it now, it will be double in the next life. Yes. How do we recognize the pattern that we are bringing from our past life?
They say that usually you recognize a pattern only when it is finished. Meanwhile, we are living it, it is very difficult to understand. But, for example, if you have many persons — more than one, more than three — three different people treating you the same way, behaving with you in the same way, it is for sure a karmic issue from your lives.
For example, you do not have self-esteem. You always think that you are not enough — not enough to be loved, not enough to progress in your profession, not enough to get a diploma from the university. And then you get that lesson from your parents. They tell you, "Do not go to that university, it is too high for you." Then you get married to a husband who says, "This is not for you. You cannot do that. You are not that clever." And then your son, or your daughter-in-law, or your daughter says to you, "Oh, I do not think you can do that." It is just an example. So you see that many people are repeating the same to you, and your self-love and self-esteem go down and down.
Do not take them as your enemies. They are your teachers. They are trying, by putting obstacles in front of you, to make your lesson of self-esteem and self-love stronger. It means that in your past lives you did not have enough self-esteem, and you decided that in this life, in spite of everything, you have to learn to respect yourself and to love yourself. So you have a whole structure of not respecting yourself. So this is a structure, and those are karmic bonds and ties between different people with different roles in your life, all of them teaching the same karmic lesson.
Then also you can have karmic relationships with your business partners, and it can be extreme, like with all the others, or it can be a soft relation. Then you can have even a relation with your enemy. And what is very interesting — I found clients who are married to their enemies from past lives. What does it mean? We are changing. We are changing the gender. So in this life I can be a woman, but maybe in some of the previous lives I was a man. So I could be an enemy with somebody, and then with that soul I make a deal for this life: "Let's get married. Let's try, from this feeling of enemy, to start to be friends, lovers, or to be married. And if you manage, you will heal that feeling of being enemies from the past lives, and you can have a good marriage. But if you do not manage, that feeling of enemy will be very alive in your marriage, and in the end you will end up worse, and then in the next life that feeling of enemy will be double."
So it is with everything that we do not learn — we make double obstacles. If in this life only my parents are trained to put in my head, "You are not good enough, you will never achieve nothing," and I do not overcome it but I accept that they are right, and I will never do anything important in my life — important not to be president, but important within the limits of my life — then in the next life I will have parents and a husband and maybe sisters and brothers telling me the same. So this is making stronger and stronger karma.
Then many questions I hear about the difference between karma relationship, karmic love, soulmate, and twin flame. First, the big mistake that all of us are doing is: "Please, God, can I find my karmic love? Please, God, my soulmate. Please, God, my twin flame." For example, the first law of attraction is very specific and very concrete, and it comes, it fulfills. Before starting my third world trip, I said, "Please, God, I need so wide, so big, deep, strong love." And I really got one in India. And I wish I could have been more specific about what I want, because it is a storm, it is thunder, it is everything, ups and downs, ups and downs, big, strong, deep. I could have asked for a love that comes with a future. So you have to put very, very exactly what you want if you want to get a positive result.
So finding karmic love does not mean they stayed in love forever. It does not mean they were happy forever. It is not a fairy tale. Karmic love is a big, big lesson that we have to be thankful for. It is a blessed love with ups and downs, with big lessons, with big wisdom for both. It is a big, big personal growth. In the end, it can be for the whole life, but it is not a must to be for the whole life, because both partners have to grow a lot — but really a lot. It is not only to grow within this life. It is gradual growth. And if we met eighteen centuries ago and we had two lives, and we meet now, it does not mean we are the same persons. It means it is the same love, it is the same big and strong love, but the persons are very different, because both of us had different personal, physical, intellectual growth during those centuries. And the same is true for every karmic love. It is nice, it is a big gift from destiny, but it does not mean it has to be forever.
Soulmates are helping us to grow more spiritually and to understand our world. And usually karmic love is a love from teenager days, or it is strong like teenager days. I am not in my teenager days, but with this love I feel like a teenager. Soulmate love is usually love with somebody that you get married to and you stay with that person. And twin flame — twin flame is when the soul is divided into parts, and those two parts live different lives, and then they decide that in one life they will be together. But it is not necessary to be love partners. You can be a twin flame with your mother, with your brother, with your twin in this life, or with your partner. So it feels like you are with yourself. No surprises, it is just peaceful. It is so nice, like you are with yourself. So those three loves are very different, and they have karma inside, but in different ways.
Meri, there is a very interesting question from Maureen, and it ties in with what I am about to ask you, which is: what kind of illnesses or diseases can occur due to karma, and how does one consciously choose to heal? But before that, Maureen has put that her son died in 2007 after 24 years of suffering with illness. He smiled most of the time. People loved him. She says that she misses him so much. She was told he was a soul who decided to come and suffer so others could benefit from the suffering. And you say something about that, and how can she interact, and how do we interact with our soul family?
People who choose to have terminal illnesses, or to come living with paralysis, disabilities, mental illnesses, all those that it is not possible to cure — they are coming like our angels. They are taking our suffering, they are reducing our suffering, they are helping us to understand how much life has inside. Deep inside of life, we have so much, so many invisible things, spiritually, emotionally. So that kind of person is coming to show us the beauty of life and the beauty of the soul. And this suffering is helping us to understand and to solve our karmic lessons. It is like they are taking a part of our karma with them, and they are helping us to make it easier.
So past life sessions — usually, not always, but when the person needs it, and when the person, even without realizing, has to receive some message — we enter the space between lives. And the souls of people who are not with us anymore come and talk to the persons. I am not a medium, but when I work with clients, souls come to those clients, and sometimes when the client is not with me, the soul of the person who wants to talk comes to me to tell me that we need to meet. So you can interact with your son through a past life session, because through past life sessions we go to past lives, we go to the space between lives, and we go to the progression to the future.
Because the future is not fixed, like people think — there is not only one future. Now, with our acts, with our decisions, we make our future. It is like a video game, but this is really the video game that every moment of our life we are recreating our future. People who did not come to this Zoom meeting are creating their future in their way, and somebody who came here is creating, with new knowledge, his future in a different way. So everything is creating and recreating every moment of our life.
And how do we contact our souls from our soul group? Every time when our soul leaves our body, we go up to another reality, and we have a meeting about the lessons of this life. So we review all those lessons, and we see at what level — but it is not a judgment, it is not grading, it is not giving notes from one to five. No, it is just, "I could do this differently, and this could be in this way, and this and that way." So we stay there, we learn spiritual lessons in a different way, and then when we decide that it is time for new karma, or time for a new life just for fun, we come again. But before that, we have again the meeting with all the souls from our soul group, and we decide, "This karma — and these souls will help me."
And how does it go? Usually people ask me, "Okay, and when will I die?" And their therapist said, and their therapist was saying, "No, it is not allowed to know." But I always say, "I do not want to say that what I am saying is the real and only truth. It is the truth, but it is not the only one." So what I learned through all my work with my clients and with myself is that we always have A, B, C, D versions and plans. So, for example, for one person there was a plan that at thirty years old he will have a big problem in the house — it will be a fire — and he can die. But if he survives, when he is 21, he will have some disease when he can die. If he survives, at 58 he can have another moment, and if not, at 98. So I hope you understand — there is always a plan A, B, C, D, and it depends. It depends on your soul, it depends on your mind, and other circumstances around you, because it is not always only you.
I have a friend who died almost a year ago. But two years before COVID, she started to say, "I am tired of the people, I am tired of everything, I just do not want to put up with anything in my life." And then a year ago, she just got a brain attack and she died, all of a sudden, because her brain was receiving her messages — "I am tired of the people, I am tired of everything in this world" — and the brain said, "What for to continue?"
Meri, this is a very interesting question from Frank. He says that in the next life, would it be possible to, in essence, become the same individual as I am now? That means I will be born as the same baby, out of the same parents, and we will get the same name, etc. And then be able to improve myself, my karma, my negative karma.
To be born from the same parents is possible, even to get the same name, if you make that agreement with the souls of your parents, because many clients found the same parents in past lives. I had — in this life I had a father, a mother, and a stepmother. And I found in past lives — one past life only with that father, another one with that father and the stepmother, who was my real mother at that time. So we change, and depending on karma, we want to work with the parents. And usually it is the number seven. Usually we can have seven lives with the same souls, and it does not mean it is always the same thing. You can change mother or father, or they can be both together, but it will be seven times that you repeat with one of them, or with one of your partners. Because usually with seven, you already have that kind of karmic lesson, and it always depends on the deal, on the agreement you are making with them.
And you say, how can you prove that karma? When you are doing this past life session, all of a sudden everything is clear — very clear why you broke up with your little friend at 16, why she is coming back when you were 26, why you had that conversation with your mom, why you left university and you started to work instead of studying. All of a sudden everything is understandable. And what happens to the soul after seven times? Yes. After seven times we know the highest lesson. And the highest lesson is forgiveness — to forgive all your enemies, all your friends, and to forgive yourself. It is unconditional love. When you start to love in spite of everything people are doing to you, when you start to love yourself in spite of the mistakes you have, then you do not need to come back. The only way that you come back after that is if you come like an angel in human form, so you come just to help.
For example, you have heard about Amma. She has been hugging people from a very early age — when she was three, four years old, in India, she started to hug people just to tell them, "I love you." And she now has a lot of retreat centers in India, helping people, getting donations from all over the world, and she is traveling around the world. I do not know now, in the time of COVID. But before, she was coming to Barcelona also, and people were waiting hours and hours just to get a hug from her, because her hug is a healing hug. So she came like an angel.
And I always explain this with an example. About a year ago, almost at the beginning of the lockdown in India, I had a day when I was so unhappy, so bitter with myself, because I had problems with charging — I do not know how to charge for my services, for anything I am doing in my life. And I was angry: why can Amma live without money and she does not need money, and I need money, but I would like to live without money. I said, "God, why can I not be like Amma? I am generous, I would like to have no need for money, and just to hug people, to help people, to do sessions, and just to help." And then it was such a big disappointment in myself — that I need money to survive and I do not know what to do.
And then I got a dream, and in the dream I got that answer. "Amma is an angel in human form. Meri is an angel in her soul, but she is still human. So whatever a human being needs, Meri needs. So it is love, and it is money, and you have to learn how to make money, even with such a nice mission as you have." And my mission is to make and to help one million souls to understand their past lives — through books, through movies, through sessions. And talking about the book, I am writing the book about my four years of travelling and world trips, my karmic love, and all the mystical encounters I had during those travels.
Meri, there is another question. It says, "Is it true that generational curses are possible, that they can be passed down in a family, from one family?"
Yes, it is true. And it is even funny, but it is not funny when you live it. It is so true. All this about karma is like a big puzzle. So you are making your karmic lessons, and you are looking, searching for a family with that kind of karma structure, that your karma structure can enter in the puzzle of that karma structure. And then that family is inside the karma of their country, of their continent, and then all of us are inside the karma of this planet.
So I have a client who has a lot of problems with black magic. She was taking care of her mother for twenty years, and after mom died, mom did not make a will. She just made something like some writing, but not a real one. Her four brothers and one sister, with her husband, made the judicial process against her, and she was almost at the losing of her house, and she was the only one taking care of mom for twenty years. When we made her past life session, we found one life where she was married with the husband of her sister, and he died, and she took his house from his sons from the first marriage. She made false documents and she took that house, and the children got nothing. So in this life she is having black magic, and she is having consequences of that act that she did at that time. And there are many more issues in this client's session, and it is like a movie. I say what we find in those past lives — no movie can make. No one can be so creative like life and karma are creative.
Can we find another question there? Manny? Yeah, many, many questions. I have saved them. Meri, can you tell us — before, we used to say that the karmic payback is in several lifetimes, but now we see that it can happen almost immediately. Why is that?
Because karma is a different situation. It is like instant karma — instant soup, noodle soup or dish, which is boiling, boiling, and slow fire, and then it comes. So karma can be fast, and karma keeps and works in both ways. And which situation happens when? You never know, there is no principle. It depends on how fast you are. If you do something without a lot of thinking and you just do it, the answer can be very fast. But if you prepare something — it can be good or it can be bad, but you prepare, prepare, prepare, and then you do — then the karma will be with slow cooking, and it will come with bigger impact, much deeper.

And how to love unconditionally. So when I am angry, I am angry at this moment and at this behavior, but not with that person. I am divorced from the father of my children, but I always educated my sons. We are good persons, only our relation and behavior between us is not good.
