Meri represented the words of Proverbs 17:17 and she was so much more than a friend. She was a mentor, a big sister, and a protector.
She selflessly gave her time and energy to everyone in need. Day or night, she was always available to listen, offer wise advice, encourage, and walk alongside those she loved. I always felt incredibly blessed to have a friend like her.
More than that, Meri was a living inspiration. She taught me what it meant to live authentically, with courage and conviction, despite cultural and societal norms or expectations. She encouraged me to live fully, not merely to get through life, but to truly embrace it, choosing joy, personal growth, people and experiences over fear and routine.
